Yuma, AZ (February 1, 2018)-The United States Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment is partnering with Arizona Western College, to bring an exciting presentation to Yuma. Together they will host and present a FREE performance at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium located at Gila Ridge High School on Thursday, March 8th at 7pm (gates open at 6pm).

The community is invited to come out and learn about what career paths are available in areas of Welding, Cyber Criminology, Culinary Arts, Agriculture, Fire Science, Solar Technologies, Nursing, Homeland Security, Emergency Medical Services and more.

The purpose of these awards is to recognize AWC faculty members for their outstanding contribution to their profession, to AWC, to their students, and to their community.
Grilled Salmon Dinner Set to Launch the Schedule
Yuma, AZ (January 29, 2018) — The Arizona Western College Culinary Arts Program presents their formal dinner offerings that include an appetizer, soup or salad, a main dish with sides and dessert. The students in the program create the menus and serve the meals. The funds raised are used for the students and their program necessities.
Ribbon cutting ceremony held for expanded Informatics building at AWC San Luis Technology Institute
San Luis, AZ (January 26, 2018) – The expansion and renovation of the Informatics building at the Arizona Western College San Luis Technology Institute was unveiled to the community during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Jan. 26.
Yuma, AZ (January 24, 2018) – Arizona Western College is seeking nominations for the 2018 AWC Hall of Fame. Installed in 2013, the AWC Hall of Fame currently has 8 honorees, including 2017 inductees, Bengie Molina and Lynne Pancrazi.
AWC is looking for nominees from Yuma and LaPaz counties that have made a significant contribution to the mission of the college, or distinguished themselves in service to the larger world.
San Luis, AZ (January 23, 2018) – Portraits by local artist Liliana Cruz are currently on display at the Arizona Western College San Luis Learning Center, 1340 N. 8th Avenue, San Luis, Ariz.
“The Paintings of Liliana Cruz” will be available for public viewing at the San Luis Learning Center until Feb. 9. The exhibition is free for the community to attend and is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
