Arizona Western College celebrates National Transfer Student Week
October 16, 2024Yuma, AZ (October 16, 2024) – October 21-25 is National Transfer Student Week at Arizona Western College. By offering various workshops and events, the college aims to empower students seeking to continue their education.
Over the course of the week, students will explore transfer options, speak with representatives from Arizona’s state universities, gain skills in financial literacy, and connect with employers from the Yuma community.
“These events are for all students to explore career and educational opportunities,” commented Angela Amezaga, AWC Transfer Services and Program Coordinator. “It is never too early to start planning for their future.”
The highlight of the week is the Yuma Transfer and Career Expo, which kicks off the festivities by connecting students with transfer universities and local employers. In addition to ten universities, over thirty of Yuma’s employers, agencies, and organizations are scheduled to attend.
