AWC Enrollment Tour brings resources to high school seniors
April 9, 2025Yuma, Ariz. (April 9, 2025) – Arizona Western College is enhancing the enrollment experience for high school seniors through the AWC Enrollment Tour, an event where AWC representatives bring resources to local high schools in an effort to eliminate barriers to obtaining a college degree.
During a series of events, high school seniors from Yuma and La Paz counties will have the opportunity to receive assistance in their admission process, orientation, registration, and financial aid, as well as gain information on student resources. The AWC Enrollment Tour ensures smooth passage for high school seniors into their first year of college, fostering a collaborative and engaging experience tailored to the unique needs of each high school campus.
“The road to college is underway! The AWC Enrollment Tour is providing essential support for high school seniors to embark on their college journey,” said Biridiana Martinez, AWC Director of Outreach, Recruitment and Early College Program. “AWC is the only college in Arizona with all three public universities on campus. Begin your college journey at AWC and take advantage of the opportunity to smoothly transition to any of our local state university partners. Whether you decide to continue your studies in Yuma or explore educational pursuits elsewhere, we are here to guide you through the enrollment process for your first college experience at Arizona Western College.”
Participating high schools include Yuma, Gila Ridge, Vista, San Luis, Kofa, Student Choice, Cibola, Salome, and Parker. Students from San Pasqual, PPEP Tec Cesar Chavez, Harvest, and Antelope High School will also participate in an event that will be held on the AWC Yuma Campus.

• April 21 - Firebird 2 Matador - Student Choice High School
• April 24 - Hawk 2 Matador - Gila Ridge High School
• April 28 - Frog 2 Matador - Salome High School
• April 29-30 - Raider 2 Matador - Cibola High School
• May 1 - Sidewinder 2 Matador - San Luis High School
• May 6 - Bronc 2 Matador - Parker High School
• May 7 - Lobo 2 Matador - Vista High School
• May 8 - Puma 2 Matador - PPEP Tec High School
