Celebrate local talent at the 2025 AWC Student Showcase
April 9, 2025Yuma, Ariz. (April 9, 2025) – On April 16th, the community is invited to attend the Arizona Western College Student Showcase, an annual event celebrating the academic and creative talents of AWC students.
“Since 2008, the Showcase has served as a platform to highlight a wide variety of student projects & talents, including poster presentations, vocal & musical performances, artwork, poetry recitations, individual and group projects from across disciplines, and much more,” shared English Professor Dr. Ellen Riek. “Again this year, the event will take place on both the Yuma and San Luis campuses, with over $8000 in scholarships awarded to selected Showcase participants!”
The event will be held on Wednesday, April 16th at the Yuma and San Luis campuses, with $4,000 in scholarships available at each location.

Details regarding presenters, project descriptions, and scholarship winners will be updated here on the day of the event.
The third annual Open Mic event will immediately follow the Showcase on the Yuma Campus from 6 to 8 p.m. An additional $1,000 in scholarships will be awarded at the event.
