AWC Graphic Designers win national awards
April 10, 2025New Orleans, La. (April 10, 2025) – This March, graphic designers from the Arizona Western College Marketing & Communications team earned two national Paragon Awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), which recognizes outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges.
After earning 11 Medallion Awards for creative designs and concepts from NCMPR District 6 in November 2024, the team went on to compete for Paragon Awards at the national level. Winners were chosen from 1,570 entries across 47 categories from community colleges across the country. Senior Graphic Designer Michael Rose and Creative Director Luis Landeros won a gold award for an original photo, while Graphic Designer Andrea Saldaña took home silver for her hand-drawn illustration on a digital poster.
“I’m incredibly proud of the team for their hard work,” Landeros said. “Their talent and dedication continues to raise the bar, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.”

Awards were announced March 26-28 at the NCMPR 2025 National Conference in New Orleans, LA. Michael Rose was also celebrated as a 2025 graduate of the NCMPR Leadership Institute, joining two colleagues, Director of Content Strategy and Development Sarah Herman and Dean of Marketing Mandy Heil, as a graduate of the 10-month program.
