AWC Logistics Certification Program rolls out new courses in 2025
November 27, 2024San Luis, AZ (November 26, 2024) – Following its inaugural course this October, the Logistics Program at Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College is rolling out two new courses scheduled to start in January and March 2025.
LGS 112 and LGS 113, the second and third course in a three-unit certification program, will prepare students for careers in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, and operations. Students will gain hands-on experience and explore case studies in preparation for real-world applications.
“The AWC Logistics Certification Program is a testament to our commitment to preparing students for real-world opportunities in a growing industry,” commented Reetika Dhawan, CEO of AWC’s Entrepreneurial College & Vice President of Workforce & Healthcare Programs. “These new courses are designed to equip students with practical skills and a global perspective, fostering innovation and career success in the logistics and supply chain field.”
Logistics certification courses are taught by Buna George, Executive Director of the Greater Yuma Port Authority. Upon completion of the program, George will mentor students through career placement and internship opportunities.
“The first logistics class was eye-opening as a first-time instructor,” George shared. “The students grasped the concepts of the topic because they relate to the platforms we are exposed to daily, from our normal consumer behaviors to the art of receiving packages from Amazon. There is an entire system behind the flow of data and efficiency; it has been a privilege to teach this semester.”

LGS112 - Foundational Planning, Procurement and Service Operations (January 2025)
