AWC Esports to be nationally broadcasted as the NJCAAE Match of the Week

Yuma, AZ (October 23, 2024) – On Thursday, October 24th, the Arizona Western College Esports Tier 1 Valorant match against Columbia Basin College is scheduled to be livestreamed by the National Junior College Athletics Association Esports (NJCAAE) as their Match of the Week.

With the NJCAAE serving over 6,000 students and 230 institutions nationwide, this opportunity gives AWC Esports the chance to compete on a national platform.

"This team has worked incredibly hard to compete at the Tier 1 level in the NJCAAE. They are currently 2-1 heading into this week's match against Columbia Basin College in Kennewick, WA,” said Quentin Hennig, Head Coach of AWC Esports. “It makes me incredibly happy that the team is getting the opportunity to be recognized nationally and to showcase their talents. I hope everyone tunes in to support AWC Esports."

In the 5v5 shooter game, the AWC Valorant team will compete to win the best of three different maps. Alternating between offensive attacks and defensive plays, the team will be challenged individually and collectively in skill, accuracy, and strategic decision making.
