Popular Film Series Partners with Prison Hill
October 31, 2016Thursdays at the Theatre Announces Partnership with Prison Hill Brewery
What pairs best with a thriller from Korea or a love story from Japan? It’s probably a locally-brewed ale or a glass of ice tea, and you can find them all on Yuma’s historic Main Street as part of Thursdays at the Theatre new “View & Brew” promotion.
The new partnership between Thursdays at the Theatre and Prison Hill Brewery offers film patrons a chance to unwind and contemplate the film over a half-price drink. Attendees will receive a coupon inviting them down to the popular eatery after the show for a discounted beverage, and maybe some post-screening conversation with other theatre-goers.
This month’s feature is a South Korean documentary called My Love, Don’t Cross That River, and it screens this Thursday, Nov 3, at 7pm at the Historic Yuma Theatre, 254 S. Main Street. Tickets are $5 at the door, or $2.50 for AWC/NAU-Yuma, UA Yuma or ASU Yuma students, faculty or staff with ID. All attendees receive a coupon for the promotional beverage.
Thursdays at the Theatre is a 12-year-running monthly series of independent and foreign film, produced and benefitting AWC Foundation, and co-sponsored by the Yuma Art Center and Historic Yuma Theatre. The series proceeds go in part to help fund scholarships for students at Arizona Western College. For more information about the series contact Lori Stofft, 928-314-9595 or lori.stofft@azwestern.edu.
