Talent Search & Upward Bound to Host College Life for 10th Graders
April 20, 2017Arizona Western College will be hosting College Life for 10th grade Talent Search and Upward Bound students on Wednesday, April 26th in the Schoening Center at 9 am on the Yuma Campus.
Tenth graders from area high schools will play the game of "College LIFE" as they learn
about ways to pay for college and how much college costs. Each team of two students receives a play checkbook. They earn scholarships and receive their financial aid and then go to Campus Life to pay for housing, the cashier to pay for tuition and the bookstore to buy books.
Talent Search and Upward Bound are federally funded TRIO programs that are designed to help students graduate from high school and continue on to college.
