CTE Open House to showcase programs Feb. 8
January 30, 2018Yuma, AZ (January 30, 2018) – An upcoming Career and Technical Education Open House will give residents a chance to discover the wide range of programs offered through Arizona Western College, Southwest Technical Education District of Yuma, Northern Arizona University, and University of Arizona.
The community is invited to come out and learn about what career paths are available in areas of Welding, Cyber Criminology, Culinary Arts, Agriculture, Fire Science, Solar Technologies, Nursing, Homeland Security, Emergency Medical Services and more.
The free event will be held on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the 3C Building Courtyard at the AWC Yuma Main Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E.
There will be equipment demonstrations and registration opportunities on site as well as campus tours of CTE facilities happening every half hour. Local businesses and industry professionals will also be present to talk about potential employment options for students after graduation.
Food prepared by Culinary Arts students will be available for purchase at the event.
