January 31, 2019

Yuma, AZ (January 31, 2019) – Come meet One Book Yuma author Dr. Barbara Jaquay as she presents on her book, “Where Have All the Sheep Gone?” on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. at Arizona Western College.

The book takes a look at sheep ranchers and shepherds and how they contributed to Arizona’s history. Jaquay is a historical geographer that has traveled the state to share this rich history.

The event is open to the public and is made possible through a partnership between the AWC/Northern Arizona University Academic Library, Yuma County Library District, and Yuma Sun.

Jaquay’s presentation will be held in the Frances Morris Boardroom in the 3C Building of the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E. She will be available for a book signing after the event.

The book is available for sale at the AWC Bookstore as well as at the event. The book is also available on loan at the Yuma County Library and the AWC/NAU-Yuma Academic Library.

In addition to the AWC event, Jaquay will also be at the Yuma Main Library, 2951 S. 21st Dr., on Feb. 7, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The community is invited to meet and learn more about Jaquay and her book at both free events.
