Library staff to welcome students with back-to-school event
August 12, 2019Yuma, AZ (August 12, 2019) – Arizona Western College students can stop by the campus library for a back-to-school event as they start up their classes this fall.
Staff members will be welcoming students at the AWC/NAU Academic Library on August 19-20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day with fun activities including food, a scavenger hunt, drawings, prizes, giveaways, and more.
“Hosting this first-time event is crucial to welcome new and returning students,” said Outreach and Instruction Librarian Sujata Halarnkar. “Our goal is to reach out to all students and welcome them to explore our resources in a fun way. I strongly believe that student engagement in using library resources is one of the pathways to academic success.”
The Academic Library is located in the Learning Resources (LR) Building on the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Avenue 8E.
