Grilled Salmon Dinner Set for September 11 with Others to Follow
Yuma, AZ (August 16, 2018) — The Arizona Western College Culinary Arts Program presents their formal dinner offerings that include an appetizer, soup or salad, a main dish with sides and dessert. The students in the program create the menus and serve the meals. The funds raised are used for the students and their program necessities.

Arizona Western College’s Health and Wellness Department will be hosting a QPR Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training open to the community on Thursday, Sept. 20. The training will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Frances Morris Boardroom, located in the 3C Building of the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E.
Funds to be used for campus academic library renovations
Yuma, AZ (August 14, 2018) – Arizona Western College, in collaboration with the AWC Foundation, was recently awarded with a $400,000 Infrastructure and Capacity-Building Challenge Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The funds, as well a 1-to-1 match requirement, will be used to enhance student learning experiences by expanding AWC’s academic library services over the next four years.

Parker, AZ (August 2, 2018) – The Arizona Western College Parker Community Center has been used as the venue for a variety of community activities and events when it’s not being used as classroom space.
The 11,200-square-foot facility, which opened in December of 2016, can also be converted into a large meeting area to accommodate 250 seated guests, dining style. The center also includes a fitness center, kitchen, and offices.
San Luis, AZ (Aug 2, 2018) – Images created by 53 printmakers from five countries will be featured at the Arizona Western College San Luis Learning Center as part of the Horned Toad Print Exchange II.
The international traveling exhibition is free for the community to attend and will be on display from August 15 to September 14. People can stop by to view the artwork at the AWC San Luis Learning Center, 1340 N. 8th Avenue, San Luis, Ariz., Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
