August 23, 2016Value of Yuma’s Higher Education to Local and Global Tranquility
The Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE) at Arizona Western College presents the Noon Discovery Series 2.0 (NDS) for the AWC Community at large. The next upcoming presentation in the series is “Value of Yuma’s Higher Education to Local and Global Tranquility” featuring Dr. Frank Kidd, Faculty, NAU-Yuma Branch Campus. The presentation takes place on Wednesday, August 31st from 12:15pm to 1:30pm in AC 111 and via ITN SLLC CR, PLC 15 and QLC 15.
The presentation will focus on the teacher/mentor role and how they are involved outside the classroom. Students rely on their abilities to educate and inspire their academic curiosity and see their worlds with a wide vision. Facilitation of their ability to solve problems will last a lifetime. For all affiliated with AWC/NAU, the challenge is to inspire students with courage to pursue career goals concomitant with achievement of academic excellence.
