Pathways

The Adult Education Program offers extensive education and training services.

High School Equivalency Diploma

Students can obtain their High School Equivalency Diploma on one of the three pathways:

  • HSE Testing Pathway
    • Choose the HSE Testing Pathway if you prefer achieving your HSE Diploma through testing. Access our free HSE/GED courses where you'll receive comprehensive instruction to prepare for the 5 individual tests: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science, Social Studies, and AZ Civics. Take the tests at your own pace; they don't need to be completed all at once.
  • HSE Plus Pathway
    • Explore the HSE Plus Pathway—a versatile option to earn your HSE Diploma. On this pathway, you accumulate 22 points across Academic (14) and Career Readiness (8) subject areas. Points can be earned through various avenues such as college courses, previously earned high school credits, work experience, and industry recognized credentials.
  • College Credit Pathway
    • Earn your HSE Diploma while also earning college credits towards a degree. In this pathway, you must pass the AZ Civics GED test and accumulate 25 college credits in specific subjects of 100 level college courses: English Language Arts (6), Mathematics (6), Natural Sciences (4), Social and Behavioral Sciences (3), Computer (3), and College/Career Exploration (3).
