Mass Notification System

Regroup is the mass notification system used at Arizona Western College to communicate with all audiences during emergency situations. it is designed to enhance communication, improve safety, and streamline operations for our institution.

Regroup’s emergency alert solutions ensure critical information reaches everyone who needs it fast. The system delivers alerts through multiple channels to ensure maximum reach and impact. Emergency alerts can easily be deployed on SMS text, email, voice calls, social media, digital signage, and desktop monitors.

All active AWC students and employees are automatically enrolled in the Regroup notification system using information from Self-Service and Colleague, and the information is refreshed daily. To ensure you will receive notifications, make sure your contact information is correct.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to sign up?

No. Regroup integrates with our information system, Colleague, and allows us to update our lists of students and employees on a daily basis. All active students and employees are automatically enrolled.

Can I opt out?

Technically, yes. However, in case of an emergency, we hope we can reach all of our audiences. You can opt to receive only emergency communication. For non-emergency communication, you'll have the ability to subscribe to channels to receive communication about the topics that are important to you.

Who can send emergency alerts through Regroup?

There is a small group of users with the ability to send emergency alerts. There is also a Crisis Communications team who has been trained how to use the system.

Will messages come through the Cisco phone PA system (campus landlines)?

Messages won’t be heard through the PA speaker on our phones. Instead, the system allows for a phone call to come through the phones. Someone needs to pick up the phone to hear the message. However, Regroup allows us to broadcast the message more broadly on different platforms such as all desktop monitors on campus, digital signage, social media, etc., so there are multiple ways our audience can receive emergency messaging from wherever they are.

Is Regroup ONLY used for emergencies?

Regroup also gives us the ability to communicate non-emergency messages to tailored audiences. Some specific subgroups of our audiences may be enrolled in specific channels that they can choose to opt out of. For instance, if you live on campus, you may be enrolled in a group specifically for on-campus residents, OR you may select to join a channel to receive information about on-campus activities. You have the ability to choose to only opt in for emergency communication if you choose.
