Reetika Dhawan named to ADCRR Director's Advisory Committee
March 12, 2025Yuma, Ariz. (March 12, 2025) – Reetika Dhawan, Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Workforce & Healthcare Programs, has been appointed to the newly established Director’s Advisory Committee for the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR).
In December 2024, the ADCRR announced applications for a committee that would support department transparency and accountability by providing feedback to ADCRR Director Ryan Thornell on key topics including education, substance use disorder, mental health services, reentry, vocational training and career readiness, tribal relations, peer mentorship, and women’s services. Dhawan is one of nine representatives selected to serve on the inaugural committee.

By providing access to educational programs, we can empower incarcerated individuals to transform their lives and contribute positively to our communities upon release.”
In her two-year term on the Director’s Advisory Committee, Dhawan will tour prison units and provide counsel on the department’s focus areas, assisting to reshape the work of corrections facilities.
The first committee meeting will take place in early April.
