The Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Occupational Certificate Program is designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge required to obtain a commercial driver's license and pursue a successful career in the transportation and logistics industry. This comprehensive program covers both theoretical and practical aspects of commercial driving, ensuring participants are well-prepared for the challenges of the road.
Learning Outcomes
- Show proficiency in the topics covered in CDL courses, such as vehicle control, backing maneuvers, handling hazardous situations, and employing safe driving techniques.
- Demonstrate driving proficiency in road conditions to obtain a Commercial Driver's License.
- Outline safe operating practices during trips and when reporting safety hazards while driving.
- Demonstrate and implement the regulations set by the US Department of Transportation (DOT) required for acquiring a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) permit and License.
