Transfer conference presented in collaboration with university partners
February 9, 2024Week-long event slated to be held at AWC Yuma Campus for students, alumni
Yuma, AZ (February 12, 2024) – Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Desert Southwest Transfer Conference, which will be held March 4-7 in collaboration with Arizona Western College’s university partners.
The week-long event is presented in conjunction with AWC’s annual Transfer Week to prepare students and alumni for a successful transition to the university of their choice. Kickstarting the week is the Yuma Transfer and Career Expo, providing attendees with the opportunity to discover higher education options, job openings, and internships within their majors. Arizona State University, University of Arizona, and Northern Arizona University will each have a day during the week to highlight their programs and student resources. Events will be held at the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E.

The university-specific events provide students with a gateway to explore their options and initiate their admissions process for Fall 2024. Freshman or transfer students can learn about university program availability and resources as they navigate their journey at AWC. Students are encouraged to register for admissions workshops to establish connections with university representatives and receive personalized support for their inquiries and transfer process steps.

• Monday, March 4 – Yuma Transfer and Career Expo, 3C Breezeway, 10:00am-1:00pm
• Tuesday, March 5 – Arizona State University Day, AS Building, Classrooms 114 and 115, 10:00am-2:00pm
• Wednesday, March 6 – University of Arizona Express Decision Day, AS Lobby, 9:00am-4:00pm
• Thursday, March 7– Northern Arizona University Transfer Day, 3C Breezeway, 10:00am-1:00pm
