NPR's Here & Now to broadcast live from KAWC Studio
February 23, 2023Yuma, AZ (February 23, 2023) – The NPR program Here & Now will be broadcasting live on Friday, Feb. 24, from the KAWC Studio at the Arizona Western College Yuma Campus.
This live program will focus on Arizona border issues and will be heard on NPR stations across the US and the world.
KAWC will air Here & Now live from 10am – 12pm at 88.9FM in Yuma and Parker, at kawc.org and on the KAWC app.
“Producers at WBUR in Boston asked us to host Peter O'Dowd of ‘Here & Now’ to focus parts of the Friday program on border issues in Arizona. We had to purchase and install some special equipment to make it work, but we were able to make it happen, so we are excited to be heard across the country and around the world,” said Lou Gum, KAWC News and Operations Manager.
