National Cesar E. Chavez Blood Drive at AWC

The National Cesar E. Chavez Blood Drive Challenge Celebrates Cesar E. Chavez’s legacy as an American civic leader by engaging college students in community service, healthy living, and saving lives. The blood drive is an annual Blood Drive Challenge organized by the AWC College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP), and is held at community colleges and universities throughout the United States. The blood drive will take place in the Schoening Conference Center on Monday, March 20th from 10 am to 2pm and March 21st from 10am to 2pm.

The objectives of the blood drive are to save lives; increase awareness of Cesar Chavez’s legacy as an American civic leader; increase blood & plasma donor participation within the Hispanic /Latino community; promote higher education recruitment/retention through engaging student programming; and develop leadership skills through ongoing student organizer training and experience.
