Federal & State Reports

The IPEDS Peer Analysis System is designed to enable a user to compare a postsecondary institution of the user's choice to a group of peer institutions which are also selected by the user. It provides a variety of analytical features for peer analysis. This includes the ability to create new calculated variables, to sort and rank schools based on the data items selected, and to view standard report templates.

(Quoted from: http://nces.ed.gov/datatools/index.asp?datatoolsectionid=2)

Arizona Western Colleges uses the Executive Peer Tool (ExPT) to compare itself to peer institutions. The Executive Peer Tool uses all of the data available in the printed Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Data Feedback Report (DFR) and additional variables from the latest collection year. Student Right to Know

Arizona Western College is pleased to provide the following information regarding our institution's graduation/completion and transfer-out rates.  The information is provided in compliance with the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended.  The rates reflect the graduation/completion and transfer-out status of our full-time, first-time, degree or certificate seeking undergraduates and student athletes that received athletic financial aid who enrolled during the 2011-2012 school year for whom 150% of the normal time-to-completion has elapsed.

During the fall semester of 2011, 904 first-time, full-time, certificate or degree-seeking undergraduate students entered Arizona Western College.  After 3 years (i.e., as of August 31, 2013), 16% of these students had graduated from our institution or completed their programs and 16% had transferred to other higher education institutions.

Enrollment of our full-time, degree-/certificate-seeking undergraduates and students who received athletically-related aid during the 2013-2014 school year is also provided.

Questions related to this report should be directed to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Grants at (928) 344-7620.

While reviewing this information, please bear in mind:

  • All graduation rates are based upon three years of attendance, which equates to 150% of the normal completion time of our longest program.
  • These charts do not identify the reasons why our students withdrew; therefore, students who withdrew for personal or medical reasons are included.
  • Graduation and transfer-out rates do not include students who left school to serve in the armed forces or on official church missions or with a foreign aid service of the federal government, or students who died or were totally and permanentaly disabled.
  • A pound sign (#) denotes any cohort/subcohort with fewer than five students.  The College is not required to disclose this information.  A "N/A" denotes not applicable (cohort/subcohort had no students).
