QuickBooks Certified User will earn a certification that validates newly acquired QuickBooks skills for an entry-level position in professional accountancy and effectively demonstrates bookkeeping skills, including creating purchase orders, tracking sales and expenses, producing and managing invoices, and monitoring financial records.
Type
Students who successfully complete the course requirements will earn an Intuit QuickBooks Certified User Certificate. This is a non-credit course.
What You'll Learn
Topics covered include:
- QuickBooks Setup: start a new company, customize homepage, set up lists and more.
- QuickBooks Utilities and General Product Knowledge: navigate, back up and restore data, etc.
- List management: How to manage lists (customers, vendors, items, etc.) including adding, deleting, editing, and merging entries.
- Items: How QuickBooks uses items to perform the necessary accounting entries.
- Sales: how to complete the workflow for invoicing, sales receipts, accounts receivable, invoicing cycle.
- Purchases: how to navigate Vendor Center, workflows for making purchasing and accounts payable.
- Payroll: how to set up payroll and earnings tracking for employees.
- Reports: how to customize reports and how to process multiple reports.
- Basic Accounting: understanding of financial statements, cash and accrual reports, entering journal entries.
- Customization/Saving Time and Shortcuts: how to create custom fields and customized invoices.

Displaced workers or anyone looking for valuable training to re-enter the workforce.
Registration Process: Interested students will meet with an AZ Quest Grant Coordinator to determine eligibility for the program.
