La Paz County leaders to speak at AWC Legislative Town Hall in Quartzite

October 7, 2024

Quartzite, AZ (October 7, 2024) – On October 16th, La Paz County leaders will be guests of Arizona Western College (AWC) for a public Town Hall event at the AWC Quartzite Learning Center.

The event will provide the opportunity for members of the community to hear directly from La Paz County leaders, including State Representative John Gillette (R-LD30) and Randy Hartless, who is the Mayor of Parker, AZ, and Associate Dean for AWC-La Paz County.

“Connecting with members of the community is a vital aspect of our role as La Paz County representatives,” said Hartless. “This Town Hall offers a platform for us to address issues of utmost importance to our constituents, answer their questions, and provide an update of the work we are doing on their behalf.”

Panelists will cover topics such as education, water, workforce, and public safety, and address the way these issues translate into legislative action at the State level. The panel discussion will be moderated by AWC President, Dr. Daniel Corr.

The free event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16th from 10-11:30 a.m. at the AWC Quartzite Learning Center, 695 Kofa Avenue, Quartzsite, AZ. An open house of the Learning Center will also be a feature of the event.

While the Town Hall is free and open to the public, space is limited. Individuals interested in attending can reserve their seat at this link
