Yuma, AZ (May 13, 2019) – Eleven Arizona Western College students took home scholarship awards during an annual Student Showcase event on May 7.
Since 2008, the showcase has served as a platform to highlight a wide variety of student projects, and over time it has also become an opportunity for students to earn scholarships. Funds are made available for students to apply for thanks to a $5,000 donation from the Gowan Company, who has been providing showcase scholarships for the past five years.

Yuma, AZ (May 7, 2019) – Arizona Western College is offering a new Cocopah Language Course over the summer at the AWC Somerton Center, located on Somerton Middle School’s campus, 1011 N. Somerton Ave.
The 1-credit class will be held on Tuesdays from 5:45 to 7:05 p.m. and begins May 28.

Phoenix, AZ (May 6, 2019) – The Office of the Governor, Helios Education Foundation, Pima Community College Foundation, and the Arizona Community Foundation have jointly awarded a $1,350,000 grant to create the Arizona Center for Student Success at the ten community colleges in the state.
