AWC Small Business Development Center Takes Home Awards


Randy Nelson to be Awarded “State Star” at National Conference

The Arizona Western College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) took home awards this year at the All Hands awards ceremony in Cottonwood Arizona, June 2016.  The All Hands is an SBDC Network training event where everyone from AWC’s SBDC Network gets professional development trainings. The event is run through the Arizona Small Business Development Center Network who oversees the grant that funds AWC’s program.

Experience AWC is an exciting and informative program for students taking their first step into college. It is designed for all new students to provide them with the necessary information, resources and help in getting started with their new experience at Arizona Western College. The event takes place on Saturday, April 30 at 8:30 am in the AS Building.

Heading to Oxford


AWC student Sydney Arriga of San Luis, AZ, is heading to Oxford University this summer, to study during the month of July.

Arriaga earned scholarship support through the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which awarded her $4,500. The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, which sponsors the Gilman Scholarship, reviewed reviewed nearly 650 applications for over 250 awards. 

In addition, Arriga received a $3,000 scholarship from the AWC Foundation to cover additional tuition and program fees.
