The Arizona Innovation Alliance (AIA), a tri-university partnership to enhance public higher education in Arizona, is launching a new project to support student success and increase educational opportunities in Yuma.

AWC’s 2020 Hall of Fame Inductees Dr. Jim Carruthers, Charlene Fernandez, and Gonzalo Huerta Sr. will be honored during the virtual event on Facebook Live.

Yuma, AZ (December 3, 2020) – Arizona Western College’s Career and Technical Education Department will be presenting a Women in Workforce Facebook Live event for the community to take part in.
Staff members receive training to teach cloud computing courses
Yuma, AZ (November 20, 2020) – As more organizations shift to utilizing online cloud technologies, employees with the necessary cloud computing skills to manage those services are in high demand. It’s for this reason that Arizona Western College will begin offering Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications beginning Spring 2021.
Yuma, AZ (Oct 8, 2020) – Typically at this time of year, the college Radiologic Technology program would be recruiting a new class to apply this coming January, to start in June 2021. Due to the college’s response to COVID-19, the college is unable to open applications for the next class of Radiologic Technology students until January of 2022, to begin in the summer of 2022.

Yuma, AZ (August 27, 2020) – The Arizona Western College community is saddened by the loss of former AWC President Dr.James “Jim” Carruthers. He passed away on July 22, at the age of 79.
