Yuma, AZ (November 7, 2017)-Arizona Western College invites the community to the main campus for the 16th Annual AWC Academic Open House Family Night on November 16th from 5:30-8:30pm.
For over a decade, thousands from the community have joined students, faculty and staff for a great night of food, fun and education. The purpose of the AWC Academic Open House Family Night is to welcome the community to the campus. Families and students enjoy a variety of game and food booths highlighting the college's academic programs and services in a fun and informative night of entertainment.
Celebration & Informational Fair Held for Current and Prospective First-Generation Students
Yuma, AZ (November 6, 2017) - Makaylla Reveles had a difficult time deciding where to go to college. She knew she wanted to be a teacher, but didn’t know where to start. The first person in her family to pursue higher education, she felt overwhelmed and alone trying to figure out which college would be the best fit. That was until her senior year of high school when her guidance counselor told her about Arizona Western College.

Watson Child Development Learning Laboratory (CDLL) at Arizona Western College will be having their traditional Stone Soup Lunch that will be shared with the children, their families and the AWC Community. The event takes place on Tuesday, November 21st at 11:00am at the CDLL.
Yuma, AZ (October 31, 2017) – An Evening of Chamber Music, featuring the Arizona Western College String Ensemble, vocal students, and flutist Karrie Myers, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 5 p.m. at St Paul's Episcopal Church, 1550 S. 14th Ave.
Yuma, AZ (October 30, 2017) – Arizona Western College’s American Sign Language Deaf and Deaf Allies (ASL DADA) Club is inviting the community to come out and practice their sign language skills.
The club will be hosting ASL Coffee Chats at the Yuma Main Library, 2951 S. 21st Drive, every other week beginning Friday, Nov. 3, from 1 to 3 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.
AWC/NAU Science Club to Host Second Annual Blood Drive
Yuma, AZ (October 26, 2017)-The AWC/NAU Science Club will be hosting a Blood Drive on November 13th and 14th on the AWC Yuma Campus in the 3C Schoening Conference Center from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
3rd Annual English Symposium on November 17
Yuma, AZ (October 24, 2017) - Arizona Western College will be holding their 3rd Annual English Symposium on Friday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in BA 111. The symposium is co-sponsored by the Center for Teaching Effectiveness and the AWC English Department.
Yuma, AZ (October 24, 2017) – Arizona Western College District residents in Yuma and La Paz counties will notice a savings on their property taxes this year. Residents will see a onetime cost savings of 44.24% on the secondary property tax levy, due to over $2.4 million in reserve funds being applied to tax payer bond obligations.
