CTE Presents the Noon Discovery Series 2.0

Towards a More Peaceful Human Animal by Dr. Dan Davis

 

Yuma, AZ (November 28, 2016)- The Center for Teaching Effectiveness (CTE) at Arizona Western College presents the Noon Discovery Series 2.0 (NDS) for the AWC Community at large.  The next upcoming presentation in the series is “Towards a More Peaceful Human Animal” by Dr. Dan Davis, Professor of Biology.   The presentation takes place on Thursday, December 1 from 12:15pm to 1:30pm in AC 126 and via ITN SLLC CR, PLC 15 and QLC 15.

 

Humans inherited a violent interpersonal behavior. This is reflected by the similar rates of violence between primates and tribal humans. However, our violence has been decreasing overtime due to increased social structures. This talk focuses on animal social behavior and the historical decline of violence since the paleolithic era to modern times.
